MISSION

Assess and report to the Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, in an unbiased and objective manner, matters affecting mission performance, discipline, efficiency, economy, morale, training, and readiness throughout the Iowa National Guard. Demonstrate caring and concern in every action by teaching and training, inspecting, inquiring, investigating, and assisting. Provide assistance when there are problems that do not get resolved through normal procedures. Act as an extension of the Adjutant General's eyes, ears, voice, and conscience. Inspect with a focus on issues rather than on units. Identify problems or issues; determine their root causes; pursue systemic issues; teach systems, processes and procedures; identify responsibility for corrective action; and spread innovative ideas.
