CW2 Kent C. Wesselink
Enlisted in the United States Army in August of 1997 as an Army Band Percussionist with the 399th Army Band, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While at Fort Leonard Wood, Mr. Wesselink served as Percussion Section Leader, and Jazz and Rock Combo NCOIC. He was selected as the 43rd AG Battalion and Fort Leonard Wood Garrison Command Soldier of the Year in 1999.
In July of 2000, CW2 Wesselink enlisted in the 34th Army Band, Iowa Army National Guard. Mr. Wesselink was selected as a Warrant Officer Candidate in 2006 and was appointed as WO1 upon completion of Warrant Officer Candidate School. CW2 Wesselink served as the Executive Officer for the 34th Army Band during his Warrant Officer schooling and graduated from the Warrant Officer Basic Course in 2008.
CW2 Wesselink holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree (1993) from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters of Information Management Degree (2000) from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri. Mr. Wesselink is the Director of Bands at Clarion-Goldfield High School in Clarion, Iowa. He has served as the North Central Iowa Bandmasters Association’s District President and is a Certified Adjudicator for the Iowa High School Music Association.
CW2 Wesselink’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal 2nd Award, Army Achievement Medal 3rd Award, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Iowa Meritorious Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon 2nd Award, Iowa Leadership Ribbon with Torch, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal 4th Award, Iowa State Service Ribbon 2nd Award, Army Service Ribbon, and the German Armed Forces Efficiency (GAFET) Badge in Silver.
Mr. Wesselink, his wife Angela, and their three children reside in Eagle Grove, Iowa.
1SG Brent T. Krumboltz
1SG Brent Krumboltz’s entire military career has been as a member of the 34th Army Band, Iowa National Guard. He enlisted in the 34th Army Band on 11 Dec 1985. His assignments have included Sidewinder Team Leader, All Guard Highpower Rifle Team Member, Section Leader, and Group Leader. His schools include Modern Army Combatives Training Level 1, Professional Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, and Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course.
1SG Krumboltz’s awards include: Army Achievement Medal, Iowa Meritorious Service Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal 8th Award, Iowa Commendation Medal 2nd Award, Iowa Leadership Ribbon with Torch Award, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal 2nd Award, Iowa State Service Ribbon 5th Award, Iowa Humanitarian Service Ribbon, Non Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon 3rd Award, Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon 2nd Award, Excellence in Competition Badge-Pistol, and the Excellence in Competition Badge-Rifle.
1SG Krumboltz received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa in 1991 and is President of Investment Center of America in Beardstown, Illinois. 1SG Krumboltz married his wife Mindy in July 2000 and they have two children, Raegan age 9 and Brock age 6.
