If you or members of your family are experiencing some mental health issues, but you do not consider them to be an emergency, and are currently NOT in treatment, then consider the following guidelines:
- ■ If you have private insurance that offers mental health benefits, check with your insurance provider to see who they recommend in your area.
- ■ If you have no insurance of any kind, refer to the county mental health center in your county. They will work with you to ensure that you or your family members gets the help that you need! Each of those mental health centers will work with you on a "sliding scale" to provide the help that you need. Most of those facilities will also have someone on their staff that will be able to guide you towards obtaining the health insurance required under the Affordable Care Act. For more information on the Affordable Care Act, please to the "INSURANCE" tab under the "MEDICAL" section of this website.
- ■ Finally, if after the following the directions above and you still have not been able to get the help you, please feel free to contact your Director of Psychological Health for more assistance or referrals at the below information.
